On Thursday, we hosted the annual awards gala for the Austin chapter of the American Institute of Architects. This stylish event featured beautiful food from Spoon & Co. Catering, subtle yet sleek lighting by Tom Watkins, and elegant accents provided by Premiere Events.
A networking and social hour was capped with the awards, which singled out firms, individuals and projects for excellence.
Four Austin-based architects also were named AIA fellows, including David Heymann, a professor and chair at the School of Architecture at the University of Texas and a private practitioner; Matthew Kreisle, a senior principal at Page; Laurie Limbacher, partner at Limbacher & Godfrey Architects; and Miguel Rivera, partner at Miro Rivera Architects [Source: Austin Business Journal].
